She Who Speaks Through Stone is a series of intimate, elemental images exploring modern spiritual practices in Switzerland. The project challenges historic and cultural stereotypes of the witch, offering an alternative narrative that honours ancestral knowledge passed through the generations, that remains very much alive and vivid. In a poetic and celebratory way, the work reveals an often-obscured form of agency and self-expression. Woven together in visual tactility, we sense the interconnectedness between viewer, sitter, and landscape. The project continues Tanja’s exploration of her surroundings and humanity’s connection to nature. photography • editorial • writing • bookmaking
